Refund Policy
Effective September 24, 2026
This policy explains how billing, cancellation, and refunds work for paid Medlar subscriptions. Payments are processed by our reseller and Merchant of Record, Paddle, who appears on your statement and issues invoices and refunds on our behalf.
Free plan
The Free plan requires no payment card. It includes one live-workflow slot and a one-time fair-use model allowance. Reaching that allowance pauses new work; it does not create a charge.
Subscriptions and billing
- Paid plans (Solo, Team, and Scale) are billed monthly in advance through Paddle, subject to the price and tax information shown at checkout.
- Plans include live-workflow, connection, member, history, and model-usage limits. Paid model-usage allowances reset monthly; they are not a cash balance and do not roll over.
- Prices are shown in USD. Paddle's checkout may show the total in your local currency; if you are charged in USD, your bank may convert it.
Cancel anytime
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your billing settings or by emailing us. Cancellation is intended to stop future renewals. The effective date and continued access are shown in Paddle's billing interface or cancellation confirmation. Unless required by law or stated below, cancelling does not automatically prorate the current billing period.
14-day money-back guarantee
If Medlar isn't right for you, email hello@medlar.app within 14 days of your first payment and we'll request a refund of that first subscription charge. We may ask for the transaction details needed to locate and validate the payment. Renewal charges are covered by the cancellation terms above unless mandatory consumer law provides otherwise.
Beyond the 14-day window, refunds are considered case by case — for example a clear service failure or a duplicate charge. Usage during the billing period may be considered when a discretionary request is reviewed.
How to request a refund
Email hello@medlar.app from the address on your account, with the date and amount of the charge (or the Paddle receipt). Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method by Paddle; timing depends on Paddle, the payment network, and your financial institution.
You can also request help directly through the receipt Paddle emailed you. Nothing in this policy limits any mandatory refund or consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
